PRODUCT RATING

Rating your products is very important. If you do not have an access pass you are shopping in the general audience catalog.

And the products you are deriving are GA rated.

How ever if you add textures etc. that are of an Adult content you must mark them AP ONLY.

If you do not follow the product guidelines your product will be pulled from the catalog and can result in being suspended from the creator program and possibly from IMVU.

PRODUCT PRICE

Setting your price to high and your product will not sell

Setting your price to the break even cost and you will not profit

Only the mesh creator and IMVU will.

Also there is a 10% tack on to the price of your product. IMVU gets that.

CATALOG IMAGE

This is the most common error when submitting your product.

You must create an exact size image for the catalog.

100x80 pix. No Bigger No Smaller.

Please got to the Previous post and follow those tutorials. Especially the one for the catalog Image.

It will save a major headache.

Here is mine:

100x80CATALOGHRPRODBlaqSatinTanle.jpg

CFL FILE

This where you submit your image from the previewer.

Copy the bold text and paste it in the white box.

Note:::::S I use Vista and I like to use Firefox as my Internet Browser. However Firefox and IMVU Submit page do not like me submiting my products that way. So I have to use IE as my default Browser to submit my products.

Others have had the opposite problem and have had use Firefox as their default.

COMPATIBILITY

Selecting the right buyer. Of Course for clothing you would want to select a sex.

But in the case of furniture you would select both.

DERIVABLE

The check box is if you want to make it derivable. There are many reasons you will want to make certain that your products are not derivable. If you did not mesh them yourself and you leave it derivable when new developers come in who do not know the system yet or understand derivations they will derive off of the first derivable item they see. And not the original product, causing an inflation of prices on it. Because for each derivation they are deriving over top of it will add their selling price. It will also add longer loading times because it will be loading textures over top of a history of other textures recorded in the coding.

Another and even more important reason not to set your items to derivable when you did not mesh them is because it is a good way to get your textures stolen. Sad but true this happens often. If you will notice most meshers make very flat sample templates for their textures on items that are derivable. This is not simply to help the developers who derive from it, it is also a prevention of having their own textures stolen.

BUNDLABILITY

Please read this post for more information and you decide how you want to use this box.

{questions} BUNDLES HOW DO I MAKE ONE & ARE THEY WORTH IT

KEY WORDS / TAGS

Tagging you Product is important.

Each of these lines is a different way for the buyer to get your product make it related to the product.

VISIBLE

By unchecking this box your product will not be seen in the catalog. Which is great if you have made something just for u or If you are not ready for your product to be seen. For example if you want to get pics of the item in a room or an outfit on you avi and not the one in the previewer.

Keep in mind that the only way to sell your product is to make it visible in the catalog.

SUBMIT

This is where you submit your product once it is ready.

Once submitted it will link you to your new Product page.

You will see this page right away.

It will take aprox 15 min to be seen by the public.

SUBMISSION CHARGE

Now comes the cost.

IMVU Charges you to submit a product.

DERIVATION CHARGE

Next is the cost to derive from the Mesh creator.

If you have finished up to here Congrats. you now have a product in the IMVU catalog and are now An Official Creator.

And here is my item we created together.

{HR5} Blaq Satin Table
