"Lollirot" >> Fishnet: BasicCreate
a new canvas. I would say 10px x 10px will do. Now in the future you can do smaller or bigger, depending on the 'gap' you
will want in your fishnets. For now, stick with a 10x10!
Now once you have created the canvas - take your Pencil Tool
and set it to 1px. Select black as your foreground color.
Zooooom in! Click in the top left corner. Holding SHIFT,
then click in the bottom right corner. This will make a perfect stroke across the canvas.
Now, go to Edit > Define Pattern. You can then close the image.
Now open one of your Opacity Maps in the
works. [Mine is 128 x 256 just cuz it is easier to post in forum that way.] Create
a New Layer.
Go to Edit > Fill. IN the 'Use' drop down, select Patterns. Then in the 'Custom Pattern' drop down
find your pattern we just made. Then hit OK. Since we created it in black - you will have to change th color. For the opacity
map we probably want it white. So just pull a: Image > Adjustment > Invert.
Next - Go to Filter > Blur > Blur. Then, Duplicate Layer. Next, Edit > Transform > Flip Horizontal.
Done.
YOU CAN PLAY WITH THE BLUR. Use a different blur, less blur, more blur. Whatever. Just get rid of the
pixelation. :]
